WORD LIST

A form like reið can be several words: angry, rode, a ride. The parser reads each sentence and decides which one it is. Passages where it decided on another word are hidden unless you show them (controls · lens).
EXPERIENCER VERBS · who feels it
A second, smaller list. Each word of the list above marks a passage, the text around it, called a site. Inside each site these verbs are looked for: verbs like þykja or líka take the one who feels in the dative (honum þótti, it seemed to him), and a dative pronoun within two words of one of them counts as a feeling received, the short ping in the sound.
KNOBS
window size · words on each side
A site is the text around one of your words: this many words before it and this many after it. More words take in more of the scene; fewer stay on the sentence.
vocabulary floor · uses of a word
A word must appear at least this many times across the sagas to have a place in the meaning space. Rarer words are still found, but only by their spelling, so typing them lights up no similar passages. 5 is the lowest here.
disambiguation
When a word form can be two words (reið is angry, but also rode), the parser reads the sentence and decides. Strict keeps only the passages where it decided on your word; loose keeps every passage; the middle also keeps the sentences the parser could not read, about one in three.
t-SNE map · the slow one
One of the six maps, and the slow one: about 40 seconds for two sagas, about 12 minutes for all of them. Ticked, it is drawn after the other maps, with a bar and a stop button. Unticked, the other five maps stay and this one is left out.
